About me . . .
My name is Jackie Hillegers, and I live in Noosa, Queensland, Australia. I have a husband, 3 beautiful children, 2 dogs, and a cat with attitude.
I am a mindfulness teacher, author, magazine contributor, holistic art therapist and counsellor, mindful photography teacher, workshop facilitator, and wellbeing practitioner supporting NDIS clients across the Sunshine Coast. Throughout my work, I have been drawn to one simple truth: when our nervous system feels safe, everything else begins to soften.
What makes my work different is that I don't simply guide meditations—I write from the perspective of your own nervous system, as though it has finally been given a gentle voice. Rather than telling you how you should feel, each experience invites you to hear the quiet wisdom already living within you, speaking with compassion, understanding and hope.
Blending mindfulness, nervous system education, gentle breathwork and poetic storytelling, my experiences are designed to help you slow your breathing, soften your thoughts and reconnect with the calm that has always existed within you. Whether you are navigating stress, anxiety or simply longing for a moment of stillness, my hope is that every session leaves you feeling a little lighter, deeply understood, and more at home within yourself.
Sending love and light,
Jackie x

I work from my home studio in Tewantin, Queensland with clients, or just creating art and craft. I am very passionate about recycling, and creating things from nature. Art therapy sessions can be very powerful, and I try to make them all tailor-made to suit each individual client. I worked with Noosa Council doing Workshops for 3 years after covid helping the community ease back into everyday life.

Lulu the Spoodle is a trained Therapy Dog. We spent three years volunteering for Story Dogs, where we went into Primary Schools and helped children with their reading.
Lulu also attends my Workshops if requested, and attends all my sessions with clients. We also have Frankie the Spoodle, but he is not trained in this field.

I have spent the past 6 years teaching clients photography. We exhibit their work regularly at Bendigo Bank in Tewantin and Cooroy. Every year I enter my clients in the Ridgewood photography competition, and they win multiple prizes. With their earnings I encourage them to buy more photographic equipment. I used to photography Weddings and families, back in the film days, so I have over 35 years experience.
